INMETRO published in March 8, 2017 the Ordinance #48 that complements the original Ordinance #170/2012 for information technology equipment.

The new ordinance covers:

  • Family definition changes
  • Acceptance of manuals in English language for highly specialized equipment, alternatively
  • Acceptance of tests reports issued up to 3 years for highly specialized equipment
  • Acceptance of measurement uncertainties criteria per IEC Guide 115 for test data accepted through IECEE CB SCHEME
  • Effective date
