UL, a global independent security company whose mission is to promote work and safe living environments for all people, is currently the world leader in issuing.
“Our team, through its knowledge of compliance, acts in the international technical committees and in practice reinforces the principles that govern the mission of UL”, continue José Antonio.
COBEI, being a Brazilian non-profit association, has as its mission to mobilize companies and entities of the electronics and related complex, supporting the activities of technical standardization of the sector in Brazil and abroad.
Both organizations worked together to maintain Brazil in the IECEE, a multilateral certification system that uses the principle of mutual recognition (reciprocal acceptance) of test results to obtain certification or approval worldwide.
This system has an important role in reducing trade barriers caused by different certification criteria in different countries and helps the industry to access new markets. Through it, industries eliminate the delays and costs of multiple tests, thus enabling them to market their products more quickly, while reducing overall costs.
